Fashion InStyle 2026 will take place from 27 to 30 April 2026 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, under the organization of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council. The event highlights material innovation across the global fashion supply chain, bringing together a wide range of stakeholders who work with fabrics, finishes and new production methods.
The fair gathers hundreds of participants in specialised zones that cover textiles, fashion technology and sustainability solutions, creating a one-stop sourcing platform for designers, manufacturers and buyers. Attendees can move between sections without leaving the venue, allowing them to compare options side by side.
Within the larger programme, the NEXT@Fashion InStyle zone concentrates on emerging materials and experimental design, receiving support from the Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency. This year the Philippines serves as the featured partner, and its involvement is highlighted through dedicated showcase areas and promotional activities.
Thirty Philippine suppliers will join roughly sixty exhibitors from other regions, offering a blend of international innovation and regional craftsmanship.
Designer Han Chong, founder of the London label Self-Portrait, returns as the zone’s ambassador, steering the curatorial direction.
Theme and Collaborative Projects
The showcase is arranged around three themes: Cultural & Heritage, Sustainability, and Technology & Functionality, reflecting industry moves toward performance, environmental responsibility and cultural relevance.
Chong collaborates with six emerging Hong Kong designers and brands, drawing textiles from eight global suppliers to deliver five cross-disciplinary projects that aim for a “Fashion Shock”. The collaborations blend traditional techniques with cutting-edge fibre technology, resulting in pieces that challenge conventional silhouettes.

Designers Toki Wong and Lusana Xu experiment with 100% biodegradable AlgaFila and the elastic fibre Nanoflex, applying advanced dyeing techniques for vivid, eco-conscious colours. Their work demonstrates that fully compostable fabrics can still achieve the bright visual impact that runway shows demand.
Jason Ying pairs silky Tencel denim with sustainable leather elements, integrating knit accessories to create contrasting textures while exploring responsible sourcing.
WILSONKAKI blends all-natural fabrics with mycelium-based fibres and ultra-light H2 material, employing collage-style methods that question traditional construction. The resulting pieces feature layered textures that shift in appearance as the wearer moves.
Industry Dialogue and Access
Fashion parades scheduled throughout the event provide a platform to display how experimental fabrics translate into finished garments.
The programme runs alongside a broader cluster of trade shows, including Home InStyle and the Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair, allowing cross-industry sourcing within a single venue.
Organisers will adopt the “EXHIBITION+” hybrid model; the physical event runs 27-30 April, while online business matching operates from 20 April to 7 May via the Click2Match platform and hktdc.com Sourcing.
