Rivaah by Tanishq Launches Wedding Signatures Collection - bridal jewelry
The launch reflects a shift in Indian weddings, where brides increasingly curate their jewelry for different functions rather than relying on a single set.

Rivaah by Tanishq has launched a new bridal jewelry collection, Wedding Signatures, alongside the campaign “One Wedding. Many Stories.” The collection caters to seven distinct Indian bridal communities: Tamil, Telugu, Bihari, Rajasthani/Marwadi, Gujarati, Marathi, and Pan India/Metro. Each community’s jewelry is meticulously crafted to reflect its unique cultural heritage, ensuring brides can celebrate their traditions with authenticity and style.

Bridal Jewelry for Curated Weddings

The launch reflects a shift in Indian weddings, where brides increasingly curate their jewelry for different functions rather than relying on a single set. Rivaah’s collection is designed as a jewelry wardrobe, offering pieces tailored to various wedding occasions. This approach allows brides to seamlessly transition from one event to another, each piece complementing the specific rituals and aesthetics of the ceremony.

Developed by Tanishq’s Design Excellence Centre, Wedding Signatures blends traditional regional designs with contemporary interpretations. For instance, the Marathi collection features the Vati Mangalsutra, Tushi necklace, and Vajra Teek Choker, while the Rajasthani/Marwadi line includes the Borla, Tevta, Aad, and Panchlada Haar. The Gujarati collection, meanwhile, showcases pieces like the Chandan Haar, Dodi, Mor, and Keri, each embodying the rich craftsmanship of the region.

Regional Traditions Meet Modern Design

The Tamil and Telugu collections draw from South Indian and temple-inspired traditions, featuring detailed motifs and designs that pay homage to ancient craftsmanship. The Pan India/Metro range, on the other hand, offers a contemporary aesthetic for brides influenced by diverse cultural styles, blending minimalist designs with global trends. The collection also introduces pieces like Kaleeras, Matha Patti, and Vankis, alongside modern takes on regional designs, ensuring versatility for various wedding themes.

For brides, this means more than just jewelry—it’s about crafting a personal narrative across their wedding journey. The collection acknowledges that each ceremony, from the mehndi to the reception, is an opportunity for self-expression, blending heritage with individuality. This approach reflects a broader trend of brides seeking to honor tradition while making their weddings uniquely their own, often incorporating personal touches into every aspect of their celebration.

Campaign Highlights Bridal Diversity

The “One Wedding. Many Stories” campaign expands beyond jewelry, showcasing bridal looks in contexts like wedding destinations, photography, and film. Wedding photographer Joseph Radhik captured select looks at the Taj Jai Mahal Palace in Jaipur, a venue renowned for its regal ambiance, while filmmaker Shoojit Sircar created regional films that highlight the emotional and cultural depth of Indian weddings. Actor Anupama Parameswaran, known for her grace and charm, represents Rivaah in the South Indian market, embodying the essence of the collection.

According to Pelki Tshering, Chief Marketing Officer at Tanishq, the collection reflects how brides are curating weddings with greater intention. Wedding Signatures focuses on complete jewelry wardrobes designed for the various occasions within a wedding journey, ensuring that each piece complements the bride’s overall look and the event’s significance. This holistic approach shows Rivaah’s commitment to celebrating the diversity and richness of Indian bridal traditions.

With this collection, Rivaah positions bridal jewelry as a series of individual expressions rather than a single ceremonial set, while maintaining the regional design codes central to Indian wedding traditions. By offering a wide range of styles and pieces, Rivaah empowers brides to tell their unique stories, making each wedding a truly personalized and memorable experience.
