VicenzaOro unveils new hall and global expansion plans - global jewellery trade
Vicenzaoro 2026 welcomed delegates from 136 countries, including top contributors like the UK, Germany, and China.

The Italian Exhibition Group’s redesign of the Vicenza Expo Centre has produced clear gains for Vicenzaoro September 2026, which concluded today after total visitor numbers climbed 4% over the previous year. International participation surged 9%, matching the growth seen in both European and non-European attendance, with delegates from 136 countries in attendance. The United Kingdom, Germany, China, India, and Romania remained top contributors, while South Korea, Singapore, Kuwait, and South Africa showed the most rapid expansion.

Hall 2’s opening transformed the event’s structure, bringing the entire jewelry production chain—from raw materials to finished goods—into a unified space. With 1,300 exhibitors present, the show now functions as a combined marketplace, networking center, and training ground, even amid ongoing economic instability. The updated facilities also helped foreign attendance rise 12% since September 2024, despite broader trade difficulties.

Matteo Farsura, leader of the Jewelry & Fashion division at the Italian Exhibition Group, attributed the gains to close work with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) and the Italian Trade Agency. A specialized buyer initiative brought 700 international purchasers to Vicenza, alongside 210 domestic buyers, for a total of 910 hosted trade professionals. This aligns with the Italian Trade Agency’s global expansion, now operating 70 offices worldwide under President Matteo Zoppas.

CIBJO Congress Marks 100 Years in Vicenza

The event’s international scope went beyond simple attendance. The World Jewelry Confederation (CIBJO) hosted its 100-year anniversary congress in Vicenza, gathering over 600 delegates from luxury brands, mining operations, and retail networks. The meeting reinforced Vicenzaoro’s position as a key forum for discussing industry trends, technological advancements, and distribution strategies.

Key collaborations strengthened Vicenzaoro’s global footprint. MAECI and the Italian Trade Agency continued as vital partners in recruiting buyers from high-growth markets, while organizations such as CIBJO, the Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council of India, and the Hong Kong Jewelry & Jade Manufacturers Association provided critical industry connections. National support came from associations like Confindustria Federorafi and Confcommercio Federpreziosi, alongside regional representatives from Sicily and Campania.

Future industry gatherings build on this momentum. The Jewelry, Gems and Technology Dubai (JGTD) show runs October 27, 29. In Italy, the jewellery industry will gather in the production districts for the Valenza Gem Forum on 22nd October, and at the Italian Jewellery Summit in Arezzo on 3rd December. Vicenzaoro and T.Gold will be back from 15th to 19th January 2027. VO Vintage will take place from 15th to 18th January.

Supply Chain Overhaul Boosts Small Business Access

The structural changes reflect a deliberate push toward operational efficiency and worldwide connectivity. Consolidating the supply chain under one roof cuts logistical barriers, while the targeted buyer program ensures meaningful interactions. This levels the playing field for smaller companies, provided they align with Vicenzaoro’s emphasis on innovation and market relevance. The event’s flexibility, through new exhibition spaces, digital tools, or strategic alliances, positions it as an enduring industry hub, even as trade conditions shift.

Visitor statistics reveal broader trends. The 9% international increase, combined with a 4% overall rise, confirms Vicenzaoro’s growing influence rather than stagnation. The inclusion of emerging markets like South Korea and Indonesia, alongside steady demand from Europe and Asia, shows a balanced expansion. Attracting buyers from 136 countries without overdependence on any single region demonstrates adaptability in an uncertain economic environment.

The CIBJO congress’s presence in Vicenza further established the event as a center for industry standards and cooperation. With over 600 attendees, the conference covered topics from consumer behavior to ethical sourcing, illustrating Vicenzaoro’s evolution from a trade fair into a platform for shared knowledge. For participants, the value extends beyond transactions to the professional relationships and insights exchanged.

VO Vintage Expands Jewelry Culture Beyond Trade

VO Vintage, now at its 9th edition, featured 53 selected exhibitors specialising in vintage and modern jewellery and watches, cementing its status as a leading event that extends the Vicenzaoro experience to the general public with a high-quality selection of items and a programme of events designed to increase the culture of watchmaking through expert speakers.

Upcoming events like JGTD in Dubai and the Italian Jewelry Summit in Arezzo highlight Vicenzaoro’s expanding reach beyond its home region. The January 2027 return solidifies its recurring importance in industry planning, with T.Gold’s technological focus likely to remain a defining feature. The September 2026 edition’s results, a 4% visitor increase and 9% international growth, demonstrate sustained progress.

Hall 2’s completion has created a more cohesive experience for attendees.
